This page answers the questions we hear most about returns, shipping, prices and ingredients. Oyu Botanica makes botanical skincare for sensitive and reactive skin. If your question isn't here, email us at oyubotanica@gmail.com.

Can I return an opened serum if it irritates my skin?

We accept returns of unopened, unused items in their original packaging within 14 days of delivery. Opened products can't be returned for hygiene reasons. If a product irritates your skin, stop using it and email oyubotanica@gmail.com with your order number so we can help you choose a better fit. To protect sensitive skin, patch-test new products on your inner arm for 7–10 days first.

How quickly will my order ship?

We process orders within 1–3 business days. Standard US delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after your order ships, and you'll get a tracking link by email. See our shipping policy for full details.

How much do Oyu Botanica products cost?

  • Sensitive Skin Booster Serum: $35.99
  • Bakuchiol Firming Serum: $39.99
  • Verde Calm Crème: $69.00
  • Tallow Lotion Bar (Lavender): $19.99

Which Oyu Botanica products are EWG Verified?

The Sensitive Skin Booster Serum and the Bakuchiol Firming Serum are EWG Verified. EWG Verified means a product avoids EWG's ingredients of concern, fully discloses its ingredients and meets EWG's manufacturing standards. Every Oyu Botanica product is also Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free.

Is bakuchiol a good alternative to retinol for sensitive skin?

Bakuchiol is a plant compound studied as a gentler retinol alternative. In a 12-week randomized, double-blind study published in the British Journal of Dermatology (2019), bakuchiol and retinol improved wrinkles and pigmentation by similar amounts, and bakuchiol users reported less scaling and stinging. Our Bakuchiol Firming Serum is made for people whose skin doesn't tolerate retinol.

What makes Mongolian botanicals different?

Plants on the Mongolian steppe grow through extreme cold, dry air and strong sun. We use steppe botanicals like sea buckthorn and Siberian larch, which are valued for antioxidants and nourishing lipids that help care for the skin barrier.
